ALEISHA HOBSON

Hi, I’m Aleisha, an artist, designer and maker based in a small beach town on the east coast of Queensland, Australia. 

I enjoy experimenting with different mediums and creating new concepts, products and more recently artworks as a result. My recent progression into painting is more of a return, as painting and drawing have long been a favourite past time and hobby for me. I’ve taken to this medium as a fascination with colour and a yearning to explore this field once again was something I could no longer ignore. 

I am inspired by a combination of everyday moments to nostalgia drawn from travels and being immersed in different cultures. I am constantly taking note of textures and patterns I observe around me for future reference.

One element that remains true to each design is that it is handcrafted, with a prevailing love for organic textures and perfection in imperfect forms. I also have a strong focus on slow, sustainable pieces. Each piece is handmade, most are made to order, avoiding mass production and excess waste.
