Kelsie has been a creative since childhood; taking inspiration and lessons from her family and everything around her. From painting snail shells and drawing pictures in the dirt road while moving sheep on her family farm, to sewing a dress from a hessian bag and wool pack she has spent countless days letting her creative juices flow.
Kelsie met her now-husband Mitch while teenagers and she has taken a keen interest in his profession - carpentry. Together, they spent every possible weekend building their home in Orange, where they now live with their two boys.
During this build, Kelsie trained in Venetian Plaster application to create a colorful feature wall. It wasn’t long after this that Kelsie began her exploration of plaster, inks, paint powders and acrylic paints.
Kelsie draws on many aspects of her life to inspire her artwork. Being a farmers daughter and spending her childhood and teen years growing up on a rural property between Forbes and Condobolin, she is inspired by the changes and colours of the seasons, sunsets, landscapes and wildflowers.
Whilst spending time with her two young boys and husband, and working as a Speech Pathologist Kelsie has quickly found her passion in creating unique artworks and she spends every chance she gets doing so.
