A constant theme in Liz's paintings is the coastal environment, shown as realistic or abstract works or often something in between the two. She finds that this changing of perspectives keeps things interesting.
She enjoys sketching quick interpretations outdoors and uses these to reference later works, which often evolve organically during the painting process.
Liz originally studied graphic design before teaching visual arts for many years. Living on the Mornington Peninsula provides her with endless inspiration and ideas.
